I never thought that a wall mounted LCD TV would cause the havoc it did to my house. Three years after we removed the TV from the wall were enough to create infestation and mold behind the wall where it was mounted. The wall in our family room contained the main drainage pipe from the second floor bathrooms. One of the screws for the mount, tapped into that pipe. We noticed water stains on the baseboards in the family room but didn’t think anything of it; we thought it was from mopping the floors. We would re-paint the baseboards and within 2-3 months the water stains reappeared. A friend of mine suggested a moisture test and Select 1 Restoration was recommended. This is truly a long story but thanks to Julio and his team of technicians, they were able to quickly mitigate the water damage and remediate the mold and infestation. It has been a year since the incident and I can honestly say, the quality of life in my home has been fully restored. I used to get skin rashes, we would have the sniffles and congestion… all of that is a thing of the past. Thank you Julio for everything you did for my family, we are forever grateful.

I called several companies, and they came to give me an assessment of the situation and a quote for a potential fix. Select 1 Restoration felt different. From the moment I called them, the way they answered the phone, I knew I could trust them. Julio showed up at my house two hours after I had called them. He did a thorough assessment and was very honest, he was not pushy nor the-world-is-ending-you-need-to-rebuild-the-house kind of guy. He gave me several options from removing the drywall and replaced the entire area to a drying option that basically pushes dry air inside the walls combined with a super duty dehumidifier which I ended up doing. He even took the time to come to my house during the weekend to check the progress of how things were drying up. Price was also very competitive. I strongly recommend Select 1 Restoration. Honestly, Select 1 Restoration was amazing. We had an A/C pipe leak that went into our floors and walls. They did the mold removal part which involved breaking the walls basically and the other processes. Once it was confirmed the mold was gone, we hired them again to rebuild the walls and such. There wasn’t any delay in scheduling nor completing the job. During the work, I would always get a text letting me know they were 10 or 30 min away. Everyone we spoke and interacted with were polite and professional. They were very patient with all my questions and very clear with their explanations of the process. I would highly recommend them and use them in the future again, but I really hope I never have a leak or mold in my house again lol.
